How long is a typical session?
Session lengths can vary for a multitude of reasons. In general, family and maternity sessions last between 20 and 45 minutes (not exceeding 1 hour unless special requests or accommodations are being made), and newborn sessions last between 45 and 90 minutes.
What should we wear?
Something that makes you feel beautiful! Don't worry, you don't need to have an artist's intuition to pair together beautiful outfits for yourself and your family. You'll find a full style guide here to help you look and feel your best! I am also always happy to help you coordinate your outfits if you aren't quite sure.
How many people can participate in a family session?
Our family sessions are tailored to single family units. Because we know that the size of a family looks different for everyone, we don't stipulate a specific number of people in the session. With that said, direction and posing needs do change when working on a multi-generational/extended family session, so these groups are subject to an additional charge per household.
Do I have to Purchase printed artwork?
No. If digital images are all you'd like, you're absolutely welcome to purchase a digital only package! Though, as always, I highly recommend considering wall art for your home or a beautiful hand-bound album to enjoy for years to come.
What dress sizes are available in the client closet?
We have styles that fit a range of women's sizes from 0-14. We hope to continue expanding our selection to accommodate an even larger variety of sizes and styles. If you have a look in mind that you don't see offered in our closet, please talk to us about it and we can see if we have a way to make it happen!
I'm not pregnant, can i still wear a client gown for my session?
Absolutely! Most of our gowns work well for both maternity and non-maternity sessions, so if you would like to rent a gown for a different session type, just let us know.
